United Kingdom based QBS Software has started expanding its foothold in Europe by purchasing French distributor Siener Informatique.  Dave Stevinson, managing director of QBS, said that the French buyout has been made in order to boost the reach of QBS services.

He said that they are expanding at a fast rate in the direction of their dreams, and are witnessing majority of business with help of main partners, with international presence. For instance, he added that SCC, Computacenter, Insight have international facilities and they want to offer their services to them in a better way.

Stevinson mentioned that many of their software publishers have been looking forward to grow foothold internationally and with the latest move the company is meeting their needs. Stevinson took over QBS in 2018, after setting up GNR Technology a year earlier. Since then, QBS has doubled in size, with sales now at more than £60m, which includes GNR’s contribution too but not from sub-£10m French company Siener.

According to Stevinson, Siener will continue to take care of its branding for a short to medium time period, while its current management will remain in charge. With around ten employees, Siener is currently advertising for numerous vacancies, and has a similar vendor line-up to QBS, which as per Stevinson was another acquisition factor. The managing director mentioned that QBS is eying at further acquisitions, to increase its foot hold into Europe.

He said that the company has ambitious plans to expand in France and that they are looking forward to enter into additional geographies with 100% focus on European countries.

He mentioned that the company is constantly undergoing internationalization, and France is a lucrative market for software. However, he cleared that the latest acquisition has nothing to do with the Brexit.

The demand for software is growing like never before. In this era, companies are investing highly on public safety software, which decreases the risks and safeguarded organizations from terrorist attacks and natural calamities. As per a recent study, public safety software market is witnessing immense growth, owing to the growing awareness about the importance of public safety at workplace, etc.
